Standard fault memory analysis

TÜV NORD vehicle diagnostics are a standard part of the purchase inspection carried out by Meistercheck. Electronic vehicle systems are professionally read out as a supplement to the physical inspection and, where possible, the test drive.

The Kfz-Meister always assesses these findings together with the rest of the inspection, so it becomes clear whether alerts are relevant for safety, reliability or potential future costs. This gives you a complete and reliable view of the car’s technical condition.

The vehicle diagnostic includes a basic identification of the vehicle and a check of electronic systems. The optional VIN and mileage check goes further and compares data from multiple systems to highlight deviations or inconsistencies.

TÜV mileage and VIN check

Verification of mileage and vehicle identity based on vehicle data. This helps reduce the risk of odometer or identity fraud.

The mileage and VIN check is available for €69 and is always carried out alongside the purchase inspection.

TÜV NORD Battery Check for electric and hybrid cars

Objective State of Health analysis of the high-voltage battery via a CARA-certified measurement process.
You receive insight into battery condition, capacity and wear as a percentage. For electric and hybrid cars, this check is especially important because the battery is a key factor for value, range and long-term suitability.

The battery check is available for €99 and is always carried out alongside the purchase inspection.

Frequently asked questions about TÜV NORD vehicle diagnostics

What are TÜV NORD vehicle diagnostics?

TÜV NORD vehicle diagnostics are a professional electronic vehicle check in which fault codes and system data are read from the car. This provides additional insight into the technical condition of the car and forms part of a reliable purchase inspection.

What is included as standard with the purchase inspection?

Every purchase inspection includes a TÜV NORD fault memory analysis as standard. Electronic systems are checked and assessed by a certified Kfz-Meister, together with the rest of the inspection.

When is an additional check useful?

Additional checks are mainly useful if there is doubt about mileage, vehicle history, or when buying an electric or hybrid car. They provide extra certainty when the situation calls for it, but they are never mandatory.

What exactly does the TÜV NORD Battery Check involve?

The TÜV NORD Battery Check provides insight into the State of Health (SoH) of the high-voltage battery in electric and hybrid cars. The test follows a CARA-certified measurement process and shows remaining battery capacity and wear.

Can I book the TÜV NORD Battery Check separately?

No. TÜV NORD diagnostics and the Battery Check are only available as part of a purchase inspection. This ensures the outcome is assessed in the correct context of the full vehicle inspection.

What happens to the diagnostic results?

The results are included in the purchase inspection report. You receive this report in Dutch, including a clear assessment and a buy or no-buy recommendation.
